Topic: Galicia Clínica was re-founded in 2008. In these years it has published multiple research papers related to clinical medicine that are of great interest to the practical clinician (hospital, health center, emergency...). Our journal is specifically addressed to internists and medical specialties as well as primary care doctors and medical students.
Peer Review Process: This journal uses a single-blind peer review system. The editor makes a first assessment of the manuscripts to verify that they fit with the objectives of the journal. If so, each manuscript is sent to at least two independent reviewers who assess the scientific quality of the manuscript. The editor is responsible for the final decision on the acceptance or rejection of the article for publication and in case of controversy, his decision is the chosen one. If the article is accepted for publication, it enters the publication queue. If it requires corrections, it is sent back to the authors with the suggestions of the reviewers and the editor and a response time (usually 30 days). If it is rejected again, the process ends in our magazine.
Posting frequency: Galicia Clínica publishes an annual volume, divided into four numbers on a quarterly basis. It is published by the Galician Society of Internal Medicine (SOGAMI), basing its organ of expression.
Open Access Policy: Galicia Clínica provides immediate and free access to all the contents of this electronic edition. The publication does not have any cost for the authors; however they assign the copyright to the journal. The journal does not allow adaptations of published articles or their use for commercial purposes.
